Dr. Yus Domínguez got his PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from the University Carlos III de Madrid.
His research line is focused on design of nano-architectures with hierarchical porosity fabricated with ceramic semiconductor by colloidal techniques, with particular emphasis in the use of films and coating technologies (such as Electrophoretic Deposition (EPD) and Inkjet printing). He has special interest in additive manufacturing of functional ceramics and electrochemical characterization for energy applications.
He completed two internships at foreign research centers. One at the Istituto di Scienza e Tecnologia dei Materiali Ceramici (ISTEC-CNR) in Italy where he studied the inkjet process for supercapacitor electrodes. The other internship was at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California, where he modelized the EPD process. He is member of the Spanish Society for Ceramic and Glass (SECV) and the European Ceramic Society (ECERS).
