Dr. Ferrari is a Tenured Scientist of CSIC at the Institute of Ceramic and Glass, where she leads the Tailoring Through Colloidal Processing’s Group.
Her research is focused on the colloidal chemistry and the surface modification of particles in liquid media applied to the sustainable manufacture of 3D pieces and coatings for biomaterials, energy storage and generation and ultrahigh temperature materials. Her research moves between ceramic, metallic and polymeric materials and its composites.
She is a funder member of Colfeed4Print, a startup of CSIC aimed to fabricate functionalized filaments for FFF.
She has co-authored more than 150 scientific papers in indexed international journals, 6 patents and has supervised 8 PhD Students and more than 40 master and grade projects. She teaches in master courses at several universities in Madrid (UAM, URJC and UPM). She is member of the editorial board of the Spanish Ceramic Society Bulleting and has been invited editor in special issued of highly ranked journals and thematic books. She is the Secretary General of the Spanish Ceramic Society, member of the European Ceramic Society Council and belong to other scientific societies (American Ceramic Society, International Society of Electrochemistry, Spanish Chapter of EMPA). She has been appointed as expert on the evaluation process for national and European research agencies for both industrial and competitive funding calls.
