LAM - Manufactura Aditiva con Láser

Universidad Politécnica Madrid

Centro Láser is a R&D institute belonging to Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). Its main research areas are fundamental research on material laser processing and its application to laser-based industrial processes. Currently, Centro Láser – UPM is a member of FP7 APPOLO HUB, a network of laser laboratories that provide laser micromachining assessment services for industry partners and test novel laser micromachining technologies for industry.

The Advanced Laser Based Manufacturing group focus on pulsed laser sources for micro and nanofabrication using subtractive and additive laser direct writing techniques, tissue engineering in biomedicine based on the transfer of biological material, and laser treatments for improving the properties of metallic materials.
